MyoFactor is a product I built to take the guesswork out of building muscle.
The problem with most workout trackers is that they give the user way to many options. There are too many choices that prohibit them from either getting started or sticking with a program.
My goal with this app was to make something that tells the user exactly what to do. Strong defaults with limited customization once you are up and running. This removes the friction from building muscle and takes the thinking out of lifting. You show up, train hard, and make progress.
Having a guided structure in the experience reduces the decision fatigue that I believe most people experience when it comes to lifting.
Every single decision was made with this in mind. It is the core belief behind the product and the experience.
All products should be built this way. Opinionated by default. Products are tools that serve a purpose. In order to make the best tool, it should provide the user with the most leverage to solve their problem or help accomplish their goal with the least amount of friction.
